You could call me a bit of an information geek and welcome to Lighthouse IG! Below is a summary of what Lighthouse IG is all about, my experience and skills to date and how we operate to deliver the best value services to you and the world we live in.
I have worked with the governance and management of information for a number of years across various sectors and have a passion for ensuring information is protected while at the same time helping you achieve your goals! Throughout our time together, you will develop the tools, skills and confidence to take action.
My way of supporting you is to support you in becoming the information confident organisation you want to be. You are unique and so your support and governance framework should be too. I don’t follow a template, or ‘one size fits all’.

Skills to support your success
Through analysis of your data flows we can determine how information works within your organisation and how your processes are operating. Like water through a plumbing system, we can soon spot the leak.
We can lead or support a team, initiative or project from scoping through to completion. Like a river, sometimes it leads and sometimes it follows.
You give a little, you get a little. You get a little, you give a little. Like all things in life, to achieve a goal it takes the ability to listen, learn, and meet people in the middle to agree an outcome and progress forward.
We believe in guiding staff on how to utilise information as part of their everyday role. Through various means suited to the person, we can educate, inform and guide people to make the most of their information and new skills.
If food is the language of love, I wonder what the language of information could be? From communication at all levels via various means we can work with front line workers up to the CEO and be clear on our message.
Information management has a reputation for being boring. We respect that, but find ways to change that. So far from it being a chore, it is something every employee/volunteer should have as part of their business skills.
